Tortuguero

Tortuguero is a settlement in the north-eastern side of Costa Rica, on the Caribbean Sea. It is famous for it's wildlife and is only accessible by boat.

It was truly amazing to see wildlife in their natural habitat. Here's a monkey eating a pancake with maple syrup...

The Monkey was not happy the following day to discover pancakes weren't on the menu...

Arenal

Arenal Volcano is 1,657m high stratovolcano located in the La Fortuna district, which was notoriously active from 1968 until entering a resting phase in 2010. It is situated next to Lake Arenal.

The main town was called El Burio, but changed it's name to La Fortuna as the fallout of the 1968 eruption avoided the town.
